OK, Maybe I AM Picky

Well, I had my first day at that coffee shop. Hell isn't the right word to describe it. That would be too nice. Don't get me wrong, the people were nice enough, but I was getting the evil memories of my fast food days. I CAN'T go back to that again. I will hole myself up in the bedroom b-4 I do it again. There is nothing wrong with the food industry, but I am just not of the age or the disposition anymore. I would rather just work cleaning or security guard. I can handle that. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I am not going back. At least not full time.

On top of all that shit happening, last night my mom e-mailed me and told me that my Grandmother died...well, my step grandmother, but she was a great woman. It didn't really sink in till today sometime. I just realized I will never see her again...like my grandfather. I never got to say goodbye. I am not in good shape right now. I actually broke down in front of my boyfriend. Well, it was a combinations of a bunch of things. It was the crappy job, my grandmother dying, my uncertain future in career and sanity (:)), then on top of all this, my boyfriend gets sick again. The man is constantly sick. So I can't depend on him for a regular paycheck. So I have to get out there and get a job and be certain that there was money soming in the house. Oh ya, and the fact that I ahven't gotten sleep in 2 days. Write more later...getting tired

Looks Like I Have Been Chosen!!

I have a funny feeling the next month or so is about to get REALLY busy really soon! I found out that I got the job at the coffee shop....but training is at the same time as the information session at the Alarm Company. I had a bit of a conundrum....accept a sure thing or go to an interview that I might not get. But since student loan calls, coffee shop it is! Oh well, the job is interesting and the tips are good. I will be on my feet alot, but oh well. And although I wanted to only work part time, they offered me the full time position. Well, I guess I can't be overly picky.

It also looks like I have been volunteered to be the co-ordinator for the Clay CD release party for HRM (Halifax Area). I volunteer to help, then all of a sudden I am heading it up! Oh well, I am glad to be appointed. I am definitely going to need help if I am going to pull this off tho. Needing to call the radio stations and the record stores and finding a spot for the party a real long and hard job. But I would do anything to make sure Clay's CD is successful. He has given so much to me already. :)

You probably noticed that there is a new look to the page. That purple and black scheme was nice, but just wasn't serving my purpose. This one is much user friendly. You should check out Blogskins.com...there are some real nice templates. Well, I think that is enough babbling for now....till next time.

Things Are Finally Starting to Calm Down

Well, what a couple days. Nothing overly exciting happened, but I would say nothing really sucked either.
Well, I mentioned about that job interview from the answering service and that the manager forwarded the resume to another dept?? Well, I got a call for another "Information Session". That is an interview if the meeting was the same as the last time. That means I am back to square one. Oh well, I will just have to impress the new manager... :) I also have an interview at a local coffee shop, so as you can see, at this point, I am not really picky.

Clay news just keeps getting better. The AI2 tour is wrapping up, so the man can finally get a little rest. Ya. I know that his CD is going to be released soon, but I think all this running around is wearing him out. It happens to the best of people. I remember when I used to perform in a theater group, the tours were killer.

Speaking of the CD...the internet Clay fan clubs are tentatively planning on having a CD release party. It is in the VERY early planning stages and it is not even established whether we are even going to have it. If we do however, I would like to be one of the organizers for the Nova Scotia/Halifax area, I will be sure to keep you all abreast.

I am planning on adding some more links soon as well, I have some friends that have linked me, so I am going to return the favor. So if anyone else has any blogs/clay pages, just e-mail me and I will be sure to add you. (e-mail is below entry in my name).

Interesting Couple of Days.....:)

Sorry, I haven't posted much, I have been feeling pretty crappy lately...actually as we speak, I am suffering from a mighty headache. But no matter...

Well, I had that interview. It was for an answering service/alarm monitoring company. The interview went excellent and the manager looked like she was very interested in me. I called her today to see if she had made a decision. She said that since I expressed interest in the Alarm side of the job (she was interviewing for the answering service), she would forward my resume to the Alarm manager. That means I will probably have to go through another interview and I probably lost the chance at the answering service position. Maybe she thought I was over qualified! Oh well, I am not going to worry about it till Monday.

As for Clay....it has been a GREAT couple days. There has been many TV appearances announced, like the Jerry Lewis Telethon and Miss America, as well as a Concert special. And the best news of all....it was FINALLY announced when his CD will be released....October 14th!!! Ruben also announced his release day....NOVEMBER 11th!!!!!!! Clay is coming out b4 Ruben! Kick ASS!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe this is AI's way of saying that Clay actually IS the rightful American Idol.

Note to self....DO NOT WATCH AI3!!! I do not need this emotional roller coaster again!!!

Well, I gotta go eat, I might add more to this later......

Gah, I feel Like Crap

Not really in the mood to write anything today. I think I got the touch of the flue, but I think rest and relaxation would do it.
Might post something later. Trying to change the template, but the template page is down that I use. Well, it looks like I have a job interview/information session with an answering service. At this point, I think i would take just about anything for a job. Just enough to make some money.

Something Bothering Me

I was thinking of what to write about today. I was perusing the many Clay boards out there (you can find a couple in my scroll down menu) and I came across this particular thread. I guess I should shed some background....I guess a week or more ago, snippets of some Clay's song from his new album was leaked to the net, whether it be done by RCA or another source.

Well, one of the songs is called I Survived You.....and the lyrics in the last verse of the leaked version is this:

This heart has been torn in two
Cut and bruised from too many bitter endings
I'll be damned if I have thoughts of you
Rain on my new beginning

Pretty standard lyrics, right?? Well there are some people out there that are freaking cause Clay said Damned....that it is not a very Christian thing to say. For myself, I really am not offended by that, cause damned has been shown in the bible many times. And saying "be damned" is not really a curse word. But there are some people out there that think that Clay is performing a carnal sin cause he sang that in his song. My problem isn't with these people standing behind what they believe in, in fact, I respect them even more! I am just concerned that there are some people out there in Claynation that make Clay out to be a sinless saint. Yes, he is a Christian, but all Christians have earthly thoughts. He is not perfect, as some people on the net are believing. I know that he is trying to be faithful in his walk, but noone is ever perfect.

I am a huge fan of his, like I said b4....but I am keeping my fandom "real". I know that I am never going to meet him and I don't want to take him to bed, (although I think he is as sexy as hell!) I am enjoying his music and hoping I may see him Live someday. I also immensly enjoy spending time with all the Claymates, regardless of belief. I just believe the saying "The higher they get, the harder they fall." My fear is that something else like this lyric fiasco happens again, and the Claymates are going to be devastated! As long as we all remember that OBC is one of us, the world will be a less traumatic place.

*stepping down from soapbox*

As for my personal life, there is not much new. I sent a few more resumes. I spend a lot of time on the computer. I think I am slowly turning into "gimpy" from Undergrads. Heh...but I think I am slowly coming out of my slump. I actually got dressed today and I am even planning on doing some cleaning. I know I shouldn't have quit my job, but I need a major career change. I am even talking to a good friend of mine that I wasn't talking to before. Long story...I may get into it someday. So things are looking up. I think I blabbed enough for today!
Cheers!

What Is Going On with RCA?

As you can see from my page, I am a HUGE fan of Clay Aiken. Well, we were told that his full length CD is out soon!
That is all fine and good, but the evasive answer is when. First it was August 19th...GREAT! Then it was said that it wasn't going to be released till October 7th, because Ruben Studdard's CD was not finished. Now rumors are flying that Clay's Cd is coming out on Sept 23rd! I just wish that RCA would come out and let us know when exactly we are going to be expecting the man's CD! Until there is a definite OFFICIAL announcement by RCA, I am not going to hold my breath.

As for my personal life, its the same ole, same ole. I am still a lady of leisure (aka unemployed). I e-mailed out a couple of resumes, but that is all I have the energy for so far. Seems like I have a hard time getting out of bed lately. I don't know if it is a depression per sey, I just have an intense feeling of lethargia. I think getting a part time job is just what I need. That and getting involved in the theater in the fall. Maybe I will join the Gilbert and Sullivan Society again. :)

I have also been thinking of starting my writing again. In fact, that is why I started this blog in the first place. A good friend recommended this and I think it is a GREAT idea. So as soon as I get my writing muscles toned up, expect to see some fics from me. :)
Well, I guess that is all for today. Take Care all!

Be Nice To The Blog Virgin

Well, this is the first entry in my very first blog.....
Not sure what to say right now, but I am sure when I am inspired, I am going to have some very interesting things to say.

You are going to get sick of me talking about American Idol's Clay Aiken. The man has a heart of gold and a voice of silk!! Check out some of the message boards I frequent about this wonderful man.

I will try to post something on here every day.
